How to Use Hoppers With Furnaces (LWC Unlock Guide)

If you're trying to connect a hopper to a furnace on the server and it won’t pull items in, it’s because the furnace is protected by LWC.
By default, LWC prevents hoppers from inserting or removing items from protected containers — this keeps your valuables safe but can block automated farms.

To allow a hopper to work with your furnace, just unlock the furnace first.

How to Unlock a Furnace for Hoppers

1. Stand near the furnace

2. Type:

    

   /unlock

3. Left-click the furnace you want to connect the hopper to

That’s it!
The furnace is now unprotected, and hoppers will work normally for automation, smelting arrays, and item sorting systems.

Does This Make My Furnace Public?

Only the furnace you unlock becomes unprotected.
Your chests, doors, and other containers remain fully protected unless you choose to unlock them too.

If you want to re-protect it later, just use:

…and click the furnace again.
