S4 focuses on refining the systems introduced in S3, improving stability, enhancing consent-aware mechanics, and laying the groundwork for upcoming cozy features across the network.

Major Features & Improvements

ABDL System Refinement — Consent, Comfort & Flexibility

Patch S4 builds directly on the ABDL foundation introduced in S3.

Passive ABDL Mode (Expanded & Refined)
Passive ABDL Mode has been further refined to support caregivers, staff, streamers, and mixed-mode players.

Passive ABDL Mode includes:

• CGs & Admins can toggle Passive Mode
  /abdl passive on|off (permission-restricted)

• Hides active ABDL indicators
  No HUD elements, no auto-messages, no public regression cues

• Still allows caregiver interaction prompts
  (soothe, cuddle, check comfort, etc.) without triggering regression mechanics

• Visible to staff for safety
  Internal logging ensures staff can assist without affecting gameplay balance

This keeps caregiving present, supportive, and unobtrusive — especially for streamers and staff.

NEW: Quiet-Time & Comfort Pause Framework

A brand-new internal system designed to prioritize emotional safety and regulation.

Quiet-Time systems focus on:

• Soft pauses instead of punishment

• Calm, reassuring system messages

• Temporary interaction limits without kicks or bans

• Consent-aware, non-intrusive enforcement

(This system is partially implemented and will continue to expand through Patch S4.)

Chat System Enhancements — Cozy Communication

Significant backend work has been completed on chat handling:

• Expanded baby-babble / bwah-style chat processing

• Improved tone consistency across global chat

• Backend support added for:

  • /msg

  • /reply

  • /whisper

• Ensures private communication matches the same cozy, regression-safe standards

Custom Plugin Development & QoL Features

Bedtime & Rest Systems (Optional)

• Time-based bedtime enforcement

• 10-minute advance reminders

• Toggleable for late-night streams or special events

• Designed to encourage rest, not punish play

Cozy Environmental Mechanics

• Torches & lanterns now burn daylight-style mobs

• Only affects mobs that burn in sunlight

• Adds immersion without disrupting gameplay balance

Comfort-First Design Philosophy

• Calm enforcement over hard punishment

• Systems designed to support players emotionally

• No forced mechanics, ever

All custom plugins remain fully compatible with Purpur 1.21.4.

NEW: Custom Maintenance Mode System
A brand-new, network-aware maintenance system designed to make downtime predictable, gentle, and respectful of players’ time.

Custom Maintenance Mode includes:

• Scheduled maintenance windows (weekly & one-time)

• Timezone-aware scheduling (America/Chicago)

• Pre-maintenance announcements:

  • 30, 15, 10, 5, and 1-minute warnings

• Support for:

  • Soft maintenance (reduced access, warnings)

  • Hard maintenance (full lockout)

• Optional escalation from soft → hard mode

• Clear, friendly messaging explaining why maintenance is happening

This system reduces surprise downtime, improves communication for players and streamers, and makes updates safer and smoother

Additional backend improvements:

• Plugin updates and performance tuning

• Reduced lag spikes and smoother TPS

• Internal cleanup for better peak-hour stability

• Prep work for future automation

Network Polish & Identity Refinement

We’ve launched a brand-new SnuggleSMP Minecraft Network Discord

This new Discord is designed to:

• Centralize network-wide announcements

• Keep server updates & patch notes easy to find

• Provide clearer separation between:

  • Network info

  • Server-specific chats

  • Community spaces

• Improve moderation visibility & response

• Make onboarding smoother for new players
