SnuggleSMP Vanilla — Thank You for Season 1 & Welcome to Season 2!

Hey everyone!

The time has come to close one chapter of SnuggleSMP Vanilla and begin preparing for the next.

After all the builds, adventures, late nights, streams, chaos, deaths, questionable decisions, and incredible memories...

SnuggleSMP Vanilla Season 2 is officially in development!

But before we start looking toward the future, we have one last piece of Season 1 to share with everyone.

We know just how much time, creativity, and love everyone poured into the Season 1 world.

There are homes people spent hours building.

Massive projects that somehow started with "I have an idea..."

Farms, towns, roads, mines, redstone contraptions, hidden places, unfinished projects, and countless little things that tell the story of everyone who played here.

We didn't want all of that to simply disappear when Season 2 began.

So we're happy to announce that the SnuggleSMP Vanilla Season 1 world is officially available to download! ️

Before we say goodbye to Season 1, there is something much more important we want to say.

Thank you.

SnuggleSMP isn't defined by the machine running the server.

It isn't defined by a Minecraft version, plugins, configurations, patches, or how much RAM we throw at it.

SnuggleSMP is defined by the people who choose to spend their time here.

Every house that was built.

Every adventure.

Every stream.

Every late-night mining session.

Every giant project.

Every person who stopped what they were doing to help someone else.

Every inside joke.

Every death followed by "DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE MY STUFF IS?!"

Every moment of absolute Minecraft chaos.

Those are the things that gave Season 1 its story.

You are the ones who turned a Minecraft world into SnuggleSMP.

And there are a few people we'd especially like to recognize.

A Very Special Thank You to Arctic

There is absolutely no way I could write a Season 1 thank-you without giving a very special and deeply personal thank-you to Arctic.

Arctic isn't just someone who occasionally helps with the server.

They have put sooooo many hours into SnuggleSMP Vanilla and into the other servers we host for everyone in this community.

Hours spent playing.

Hours spent testing.

Hours spent helping players.

Hours spent troubleshooting when something decides it doesn't want to work.

Hours spent listening to my crazy ideas and then somehow helping turn them into something real.

Hours spent helping moderate, configure, test, build, plan, fix, improve, and support the servers that everyone gets to enjoy.

And there are probably countless hours of work that most people will never even see.

But I see them.

Arctic is also my caregiver, and their support goes far beyond Minecraft or keeping a server online.

They've been beside me through so much of this, supporting me personally while also continuing to give their time and energy to something that means so much to me.

I genuinely don't know how to properly put into words how much that means.

SnuggleSMP may have my name attached to parts of it, and I may be the one making announcements like this, but I never want that to hide how much work happens because someone else was willing to stand beside me and say:

"Alright, let's figure this out."

Arctic has done that again and again and again.

Not because they had to.

Because they cared.

They cared about the servers.

They cared about the community.

They cared about the people playing on them.

And they cared about me.

So Arctic, from the absolute bottom of my heart:

Thank you for every late night.

Thank you for every test.

Thank you for every broken thing you've helped fix.

Thank you for every ridiculous idea you've entertained.

Thank you for every hour you've spent helping make these servers better.

Thank you for helping create places where our friends and community can play, laugh, build things, cause chaos, and make memories together.

And thank you for being there for me through all of it.

SnuggleSMP would not be what it is today without you.

Season 1 wouldn't have been the same without you, and neither would any of the other servers and worlds we've created for this community.

There aren't enough words to properly express how grateful I am for everything you've done.

But I'll keep saying it anyway:

And to EVERYONE Who Played Season 1...

We also don't want individual shout-outs to overshadow the most important group of people:

Whether you played every day...

Once a week...

Every one of you left a little mark on this world.

That's why we wanted the Season 1 world to remain available.

Season 1 deserves to be kept.

️ A Personal Thank You From Me

I want to step away from the server announcement voice for a moment and say something personally.

From the absolute bottom of my heart, thank you.

And I sincerely mean that.

Thank you to every single person who has logged onto SnuggleSMP.

Thank you to everyone who built something, explored somewhere new, helped another player, joined a stream, shared a laugh, reported a problem, suggested an idea, or simply logged in because you wanted to spend time with the people here.

When we started these servers, we could provide the hardware.

We could configure Minecraft.

We could create a world.

We could keep the servers running.

But there was one thing we could never create ourselves.

The community.

You did that.

You created the memories.

You created the friendships.

You created the towns, homes, farms, ridiculous builds, inside jokes, adventures, and moments that turned a save file sitting on a server into somewhere that actually meant something.

Seeing people choose to spend their free time here means more to me than I can properly put into words.

There are thousands upon thousands of Minecraft servers you could have joined.

There are countless games you could have played.

There are countless communities you could have spent your time with.

But you chose to spend some of that time with us.

I will never take that for granted.

Whether you were here from the very beginning of Season 1 or joined us near the end...

Whether you've played hundreds of hours or only a handful...

Whether you've built something everyone recognizes or a little house hidden somewhere nobody has ever found...

You were here.

You were part of this world.

You were part of its story.

And you're part of the reason we're sitting here talking about a Season 2 at all.

So as we close Season 1 and begin working on the next chapter, I want everyone to know how sincerely grateful I am.

Thank you for supporting each other.

Thank you for every laugh, every build, every adventure, and every memory.

It's time for us to get to work on Season 2.

Soon we'll all be standing in a completely fresh world.

No houses.

No farms.

No giant storage systems.

No roads.

No towns.

No suspiciously complicated redstone contraptions.

No giant builds dominating the skyline.

No chests filled with seventeen stacks of an item nobody remembers collecting.

Just a fresh Minecraft world...

…and eventually a bunch of SnuggleSMP goobers standing at spawn looking around at each other and asking:

"...okay, where are we building?"

For now, SnuggleSMP Vanilla will remain offline while we build, configure, and test Season 2.

We're not announcing a launch date just yet.

We want to take the time we need to get everything set up properly instead of rushing it out the door.

We'll release more information about Season 2 once it's ready.
